This work of the Lord was birthed in Oct. 1957, when Mrs. Bertha Madden had a vision while in prayer of people kneeling all over her home and the  prophetic Word "Spread the news that God is awakening His children for the coming of His Son."

In January 1958, the first prayer meeting was held in her home and was called " Faith Pool."  They met; they prayed and pooled their faith together based on Matthew 18:19-20.  

"Again I say unto you that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of  them."  

And so began a prayer ministry that went around the world. They became a Non-Profit Corporation in 1966 and by that time there were hundreds of Faith-Pool Prayer Groups around the nation.  The news of the group became  well - known due to articles that appeared in October, 1964 in the Christian Life Magazine, also Full Gospel Men's Voice  Magazine in June 1962,  and again in their February and April 1963 issues of their magazine.  Mrs. Madden also wrote for over twenty years for, Testimony,  a Publication out of Hanford, Calif., for which Thomas R. Nickle was the Editor.  

Today the name of our Corporation is still Faith-Pool Prayer Groups Inc.  

In July, 1967 the House of Hope was built and the group began to meet for worship services in the church, while still keeping the prayer meetings at Mrs. Madden's home, until she went to be with her Lord in March, 1990.
